The Name of My Game:
- We see different mountains and we see different rivers
- Because we live in different places.
- But we feel the same wind, we see the same moon,
- And we are covered by the same sky.
- Stuart Atkins, author of "The Name Of Your Game"
A shift in thinking; So what do I now know that I didn't recognise a couple of years ago;
- Now I realise that to have a really successful team, I need to have a complimentary blend of people with individual skills and strengths.
- When I need to have a productive relationship with you or a win-win outcome, I need to not only play to my strengths, but recognise what your strengths are.
- In personal and professional relationships I also need to recognise when I don't perform effectively and what I can do about that.
- Instead of treating you the way I would like to be treated, what about I treat you the way YOU would like to be treated.
- When I am aware that I am not successfully communicating with you, am I speaking your language or simply using my own?
- I can, by overplaying my strengths, make my strengths my weaknesses
- If I keep doing what I have always done, I will keep getting the same results!
- The meaning of my communication is in it's effect.
So, how do I achieve the success I deserve? - have a look at "The Solution"
